What is iDebit?

iDebit is a service to facilitate Bank Shinhan Indonesia Debit Card users so that they can be used to make online payment transactions or card not present at online merchants who have joined as ALTO members.

How to Use the iDebit Service?

- Must have a registered Bank Shinhan Indonesia Debit Card
- Have an active mobile phone number registered with Bank Shinhan Indonesia
- Make online purchases at merchants who have joined the ALTO iDebit service
- Select payment options using iDebit on the merchant screen and ensure transaction data is correct
- Entering the Bank Shinhan Indonesia Debit Card data or selecting the previously registered Bank Shinhan
   Indonesia Debit Card
- Enter the SMS OTP sent to registered mobile phone number for transaction authentication

Transaction fee for iDebit is for the SMS OTP fee as follow:

FAQ

  • What is the transaction limit of the iDebit service?
    The transaction limit for iDebit services is IDR 1,000,000 per transaction per day.
     
  • How to register for iDebit service?
    iDebit registration can be done through the nearest Bank Shinhan Indonesia Branch or through the Bank Shinhan Indonesia Call Center at 1-500-881. iDebit service registration will be effective maximum in 24 hours.
     
  • How to deactivate iDebit service?
    Deactivation of iDebit service can be done through the nearest Bank Shinhan Indonesia Branch or through the Bank Shinhan Indonesia Call Center at 1-500-881. Deactivation of the iDebit service will be effective maximum in 24 hours.
     
  • Why SMS OTP is not received when registering Bank Shinhan Indonesia Debit Card or transacting at online merchants using the iDebit service?
    Please ensure the cellular phone number registered with Bank Shinhan Indonesia is active and valid phone number. Phone number update can be done through the nearest Bank Shinhan Indonesia Branch or through internet banking / mobile banking SOL Bank Shinhan  Indonesia. Change in cellular phone number will be effective on iDebit service  maximum in 24 hours.
     
  • If I change my cellular phone number at an online merchant, will it automatically change my cellular phone number for receiving SMS OTP for iDebit service?
    The cellular phone number to receive SMS OTP iDebit service is the cellular phone number registered with Bank Shinhan Indonesia and change at online merchant will not automatically change the mobile phone number registered with the Bank Shinhan Indonesia.
     
  • What should be done if the cellular phone is lost or there is a change in the cellular phone number?
    Immediately update the cellular phone number to avoid data usage by irresponsible parties.
     
  • What will happen if invalid SMS OTP is entered several times?
    If invalid SMS OTP is entered for 5x consecutively, iDebit service will be blocked.  To unblock, visit Bank Shinhan Indonesia Branch or contact Bank Shinhan Indonesia Call Center. Please ensure that the SMS OTP entered is correct and still valid.
     
  • During the payment transaction, how if it is requested to fill in CVV?
    Since Shinhan Bank Debit Card does not utilize CVV, then CVV column can be filled in with 000
